Ferrovial buys up Lancashire company Enterprise plc.

Ferrovial has bought Lancashire based Enterprise.plc for £385m.

The company based in Leyland has struggled recently with high debts and reduced customer spending.  

The acquisition will double the size of the Madrid infrastructure company’s UK business and speed-up its entrance into utilities services and improve its positioning in environmental services sector.

The completion of the deal is subject to approval by the European Commission.
