Life’s a beach to plan ahead

SUMMER: Too early to plan?

LIFE has become a bit stagnant recently; I have to take my mind off it.

Splashing on the plastic didn’t help.

Expensive dinners only made me depressed because I put on half a pound.

Cosmopolitan’s helped a little as you can imagine.

But the only way to get me out of my funk is to cast my mind on something else.

So it’s time to start thinking of the summer.

From May until September, life can be a little blurry.

What with so many parties to attend, so much champagne to drink, so many bikinis to wear, not to mention a whole new wardrobe to buy with Daddy’s multiple allowances that trickle in throughout.

Well I say trickle, but you know what I mean.

The opening parties come first – usually towards the end of April – where people fly in from all over the world especially for them.

SalaBeach, Ocean Club, Nikki Beach, Sisu Boutique, Suite del Mar, and that’s just the beach clubs!

Their entertainment is always legendary, a playful mix of danger and glamour.

Fire jugglers astound.

Aerial acrobatics amaze.

Fireworks take to the skies.

The funkiest tunes surround.

And the extravagance…

It’s so refreshing to be in one place full of people like me, without a care in the World, all there to have a good time, no matter what the price.

Drinking champagne like it’s water, boards of sushi spilling from the kitchens.

And there’s always a theme, the majority being white to mark the summer of the season.

Photographer’s all around.

A haze of eyelashes, Louboutins, Rolexes, gold, celebrities.

My VIP table, booked every year in the same spot without fail always awaits us, in full view of the crowd.

It’s merely two months away, which will fly by after all of the planning in my social diary, deciding where to go on what day.

I may even send a copy to Daddy’s secretary Rebecca, so she can keep me informed of where I need to be seen.

God forbid if I were to miss one.

Thankfully the beach bars host their parties on different days, so you’re never left with the conundrum of having to choose.

Why choose when you can have it all?

Now that’s really cheered me up.

And it’s my birthday this weekend.

Let the celebrations commence.
