Russian Tourists coming to Spain

The number of Russian tourists coming to Spain on holiday has doubled in recent years. Last year alone more than half a million people spent from 8 to 15 days in Spain, spending an average €163 a day.

Spain’s ambassador to Russia, Jose Ignacio Carbajal, believes that Spain will soon be able to receive up to 2.5 million Russian tourists annually.

Changes will be made in visa requirements between Russia and the EU, and Spain will give long term visas for 3 to 5 years for Russian citizens.
