FOR HIRE: Bikes will be hitting the streets of Velez-Malaga
VELEZ-MALAGA town hall will award a private firm the concession for bicycle hire soon.
The idea has been put into action thanks to an agreement signed by the council with the Andalucian Energy Agency.
The free service only lasted three months because there was not enough money for replacements and parts for the bicycles in use.
Now the town hall has decided to put the bicycles into circulation again, with no cost to the municipality, but it will be managed by a private company.
The councillor of Transport and Mobility, Francisco Natera, said that the plan to hire out 100 bicycles will start after Easter.
