TRAFFIC FINE: Balearics in third place.
BALEARIC drivers are the third most fined drivers in Spain.
On average one in three drivers have received fines in the Balearic region. Only Madrid and Cataluyna have a higher proportion of motorists penalised.
A national survey released by an insurance company also revealed that men receive more fines then women (8.7 per cent more).
When broken down to age groups under 30-year-old’s represent 21 per cent, between 30 and 40, 32 per cent, 40 to 50 15 per cent, 50 to 60 16 per cent and over 60 year olds 6 per cent.
It has also been announced that for on the spot fines it is no longer possible to pay by debit or credit cards.
