Last night’s match saw Barcelona draw 2-2 with Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
Messi scored the first goal in the 38th minute but spent the last part of the first half injured with a suspected hamstring injury to his right leg before being replaced by Cesc Fabregas.
Javier Mascherano is set to miss the second leg after he was forced off in the closing stages of the match with assistant coach Jordi Roura confirming the former Liverpool man will face several weeks out of the game.
Messi’s opener was cancelled out by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Xavi gaining Barcelona’s advantage late on, only for Blaise Matuidi to snatch a last-gasp leveller.
