Hi, I would just like to correct your statements regarding the duchess of Alba, and James the second, James the second was not English he was Scottish by his father James the first 1406-1437. James the second 1437-1460 both from the house of Stewart, James the first translated the bible for the first time into English, the Duchess of Alba was given the title Alba because that is the Spanish Latin name for Scotland, the land of the dawn, the Romans who conquered Britain, i.e. England as we know it today the 20, 11,5th legions all came from Iberia Spain, the only exception being the famous 9th which went into Alba, i.e. Scotland and was never seen again. I hope i have been of some assistance in clearing up some points of history for our readers, keep up the good work in a great wee paper.
