Vet arrested on suspicion in Alicante
AN Argentinian vet working in Benijofar, Alicante has been arrested after allegedly dismembering his wife’s body and sending her body parts off to be incinerated disguised as a big dog.
The Guardia Civil are investigating after the vet went to a police station with his wife’s ashes in an urn.
The 45 year old man allegedly ‘panicked’ and cut her up after a botched DIY liposuction.
A source said, ‘It appears that liposuction has taken place but we are still trying to get to the ascertain whether it was the cause of her death and whether she died by accident.’
The firm licensed to incinerate animals has told police they did not make any checks on the remains because the vet was a regular customer.
A sign has been put up in English at the vet’s, called Pet Care, yesterday, which says ‘Closed until further notice due to bereavement.’
