In other matches over the weekend, Barcelona are one step closer to the Spanish league title by winning 3-0 at Real Zaragoza on Sunday, with forward Cristian Tello playing in place of Lionel Messi. Thiago Alcantara put Barcelona ahead 20 minutes into the match and set up Tello to double the advantage in the 39th minute. Tello then added another in the 53rd minute

Atletico Madrid player, Radamel Falcao, scored twice as they continued their bid for a top-two finish in the Primera Division with a comprehensive 5-0 home win over Granada.

Real Sociedad continued their run of outstanding form with a convincing 2-0 win away to Rayo Vallecano.
