ILLEGAL MECHANICS: Trade has dropped in Murcia.
MECHANICS in Murcia are warning about the dangers of using illegal workshops. Mechanics in the Region, at their annual conference meeting, say their trade has dropped dramatically since the economic crisis began, despite more than 50 per cent of the cars on the roads in Murcia being more than 10 years old.
The industry employs around 9,500 people, and workers urged vehicle owners not to take risks with the safety of their vehicles by cutting back on the costs of maintenance or choosing cheaper, unlicensed mechanics.
