SEARCH: Guardia Civil launched a hunt for hit and run driver.
A 16-YEAR-OLD boy is described as being in a very grave condition in Son Espases hospital in Palma after he was knocked off his bicycle in a hit and run.
The Spaniard was cycling with a friend in Avenida dels Ocells in the urbanisation of Puig de Ros in Llucmajor when a red Seat Leon was in collision with him.
The impact was so strong, the boy was thrown several metres in to the air before hitting the floor. An ambulance was on the scene quickly and gave first aid before taking him to hospital suffering from multiple injuries.
Guardia Civil and Policia Local searched for the car and driver who had failed to stop after the accident. The following day a 30-year-old Spanish man was arrested by the Guardia Civil in the Pont de Inca area.
