WHAT a difference a week makes! One week rain, wind, cold and the following week spring/summer has arrived!
Forty eight players from GINS enjoyed a glorious day’s golf at Los Moriscos sponsored by Blevins Franks the specialists in international tax and wealth management.
Steve Langford, a partner with Blevins Franks, presented the very generous prizes to the winners of the day. The prizes certainly had the “Wow” factor and were very much appreciated by everyone.
Winner of the competition was Keith Taylor with 40 points. In second was James Kenny (38) with Tony Downey (37) third.
Top lady was Erica Oxford (42) followed by Brenda Gallantree (31) and Pat Lowe (31). Nearest the pins were Debbie Atkinson and Sean Darby.
At the society’s Añoreta competition Geir Froland (36) was first in the men’s contest. Second was Malcolm Jones (33), and third Dietmar Stec (31).
Mayliz Santon (33) took the ldies competition, with Ellen Froland (31) second, and Anne Jones (39) third.
At Baviera a team Texas Scramble was held. Top team was that of Ray Craig, David Viles, Russell Dick and Jack Lowe. Runners-up were Roger Davey,Glyn Roberts, Gill Sibson and Ali Durston .
