115,000 operations at Torrevieja Hospital

TORREVIEJA Hospital has carried out almost 115,000 surgical procedures since it’s opening in 2006. More than half (57 per cent) were through the outpatient service.

Last year more than 6,000 operations were carried out by the surgical team.

Dr. Jose Antonio Velasco, surgical director, said this showed a “coordinated effort of a multidisciplinary team of professionals that streamline processes and allow an accurate diagnosis, a successful intervention and early recovery for patients.”
