Armed robbery of PNC Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the armed robbery today of the PNC Bank branch located at 6855 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia’s Mayfair section.

At approximately 10:08 a.m., May 15, the subject entered the bank. He displayed a small silver handgun and demanded money from a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot, heading north on Frankford Avenue then east on Longshore Avenue.

The subject is described as a black or Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 5’7”-5’9” tall, medium build, light complexion; he wore a light blue or gray bandanna over his face, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the Notre Dame “Fighting Irish” logo on the front, dark-colored pants, and black gloves.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
