THANKS: Alan Braiser with Glenys and Bill Radford.
BILL and Glenys Radford have finally stepped down as officers of the Royal British Legion. Their retirement as Chairman and Treasurer took place at a branch meeting on Wednesday, May 8, in Torre del Mar.
They will both be taking a well earned rest after many years of dedication and hard work to the Legion. Bill won a world wide award for his Legion work for ‘Making a Difference Overseas’ which was awarded to him at the National Conference in the U.K.
Glenys, as Treasurer, has enjoyed her time in office but after illness has decided to step down.
At the meeting Bill handed over the reins to the new Chairman Alan Braisher and to the new Treasurer David Roy, stating that they are now looking forward to a rest and doing more travelling knowing that the Branch has been left in safe hands.
The RBL Torre Del Mar is a thriving branch. They meet at La Vega Restaurant (next to Mercadona supermarket) in Torre Del Mar every Wednesday from noon to 1.30pm.
