La Herradura from black spot to beauty spot

LA HERRADURA’S wooden pier has now been completely removed and in its place will be new sand and the original palm trees.

It took a little over a week during at the beginning of July to dismantle the wooden square, which comprised of old railway sleepers and clear away rubbish that had accumulated beneath it. Many of the sleepers were rotten and had been the cause of several accidents.

 Now locals are putting forward new ideas for the area, but for the time being it will be cleaned up and receive fresh sand and possibly flower troughs.
