Dancing with the “Carrs”

The Lecheritas

A trio of young girls are storming the charts in aid of charity with the help of Former Birmingham captain, Stephen Carr.

The Lecheritas, a young pop group from the Costa del Sol, have already achieved success in their hometown of Marbella with their first single, Take Me to Marbella, which hit number six on the digital radio charts. The girls have now released a charity version in aid of The Global Gift Gala, raising money and awareness for the empowerment of women and children worldwide.

The single is being released by Sala Records, a record label crafted by the successful leisure company, Sala Group and music producer, Jacob Johansen.

“We created Sala Records with the aim to support and enrich the music community of Marbella,” revealed Sala Group chairman, Ian Radford. “We are delighted to join forces with The Global Gift Gala and have the opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause whilst also enhancing Marbella’s brand and name worldwide.” Sala Group has previously worked with The Global Gift Foundation and last year welcomed Honorary Chair, Eva Longoria and guests for a pre-party at nightclub, Aqwa Mist.

Stephen Carr, a shareholder in Sala Group, shared his enthusiasm explaining, “It is a pleasure to be part of such an exciting charitable activity and help in any way I can. My nine year old daughter, Ella, was exceptionally enthusiastic and it is lovely to be able to help to launch the careers of local talent together, whilst raising money for charity.”

What started out as a clap game in a Spanish playground is now attracting fans worldwide. After only four weeks on YouTube Take Me to Marbella received more than 200,000 views and is quickly becoming Marbella’s summer smash. Now, together with The Global Gift Foundation, a unique version of Take Me to Marbella, featuring male vocalist Bruce Baps, is available to download with 30% of profits going directly to The Global Gift Foundation.
