Gerardo Martino
Gerardo Martino has signed as the new Barcelona FC manager. He has signed a three-season deal with the Catalan team.
The former Newell’s Old Boys manager will be joining the Spanish side supposedly accompanied by his two regular aides Elvio Paolorroso and Jorge Pautasso.
As well known, Tito Vilanova had to step down due to serious illness as he could not combine his treatment with the coaching workload. Therefore the South American manager will be taking over.
There was however last-minute speculation as to whether or not Barcelona would appoint Dutch coach Guus Hiddink, how coincidently resigned from his post at Russian club Anzhi.
