Napoli on the Spanish hunt

Arriving at Rome Airport, former Real Madrid striker, Gonzalo Higuain was mobbed by fans ahead of passing his medical and signing with his new club Napoli.

The 25 year-old is moving to the Stadio San Paolo after six seasons with Real Madrid for a reported €40m five-year contract.

At Napoli, Higuain will join with his fellow new recruits and former Real Madrid teammates Jose Callejon and Raul Albiol.

Last season Napoli came second behind Juventus taking a spot in the Champions League this term.

They have been very busy in the transfer market, not only in Spain but also across seas. They travelled to Liverpool and brought back Pepe Reina, who will reunite with his former Anfield manager Rafael Benitez.

He will be at Napoli on a season-long loan deal.

Both Reina and Higuain are expected to be presented to the fans on Monday.
