Last season, he claims to have struck up a good friendship with Luka Modric as things were kept private and respectful. He did not want to talk about names nor money but what it is claimed he said was that €100 million seemed like a lot to him and would seem like a lot to anyone. He carried on by saying that he should not and cannot talk about anyone or any player.
He has reportedly said that he is convinced that Ronaldo will finish his career in Real Madrid. He also had good words to say about Mourinho saying that he contributed a huge amount to the club and now they are putting their trust in Ancelotti for the next coming seasons. He supposedly said that they are going to enjoy having a manager that has dealt with big players and has won many things both as a player and as a manager.
He continued by saying that Ancelotti keeps very much with Madrid’s history and hopes for the future.
