A MAN was shot dead by two assailants as he sat in his car on a luxury Marbella urbanisation.
The victim was a Moroccan, according to the National Police and 112 emergency services, and has not yet been identified.
Although no motive for the killing has been found police are working on the theory it was a drugs-related ‘settling of accounts’ killing.
The shooting occurred around 7.45pm yesterday at the Nagüeles Sierra Blanca urbanisation at the heart of Marbella’s millionaire’s playground known as the Golden Mile.
The victim had just pulled up in his car when the duo, who had apparently being lying in wait for him, walked up and shot him dead.
According to investigators, the man was struck by one bullet.
Witnesses told police that there was no warning before shots were fired.
Sources have indicated that police are trawling through security camera footage of the area to try and find evidence. They are also examining tyre treadmarks made by the duo as they fled the scene.
