POSTAL authority Correos has bought 1,000 motorbikes to replace outdated ones. With a total investment of €1,428,000, these motorbikes are part of a project carried out by Correos to renew its current fleet and improve its services.
The model chosen is the Peugeot Tweet 125 Pro, specially designed following the advice of Correos workers to adjust its performance for their daily use. This model offers better safety and comfort, as well as reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions, claims Correos.
A first shipment of the motorbikes will be distributed to Madrid, Barcelona and the Balearic and Canary Islands after the summer. It is expected all of Spain’s provinces will have their motorbikes by the end of November, according to Correos.
