Police gather outside the Santander Bank in La Cala

Residents raised the alarm this morning in La Cala when the Guardia Civil and local police were seen to be outside the Santander Bank and rumours were said to spread that a robbery had occurred.

A member of staff from the bank has confirmed that a robbery was not taking place but rather an employee at the office located next to the main street passed out minutes before opening time.

The woman, who was taken ill and passed out, was consequently transported to a nearby hospital.
