WIB TEAM: President Maria (centre) with web manager Nicki Hastings and Candy Wright, Administrative Secretary.
THE first Multicultural Fair has been held in Calpe.
Organised by the Women In Business (WIB) group in conjunction with the town hall, the fair attracted visitors to the Plaza Mayor for an afternoon of live and varied entertainment on the main stage. They could also view crafts and stalls which gave charities the opportunity to raise their profile and collect funds.
The WIB stand held a tombola to generate funds which will be used to help victims of domestic violence and support the local food bank.
Calpe Mayor, Cesar Sanchez, offered them the use of the Plaza Mayor for the event: “We thank them for what they do to support the community, particularly here in Calpe. We have to be very brave as we are going through difficult times but we hope slowly but surely we will improve the future of Calpe for youngsters.”
WIB meet twice a month. For more information call Maria on 644 529 863 or email wibcpresident@gmail.com
