RCD Mallorca recorded a much needed win over Mirandes on Sunday night at the Iberostar Stadium with a goal from striker Victor Casadesus.
The locals showed good attitude from the first minute, playing very aggressively and looking for an early goal that would allow them to control the match. But it took Mallorca 28 minutes to open the scoring, after Victor was able to connect a pass from Ximo to claim the 1-0.
“The team is growing”, said Jose Luis Oltra, Mallorca´s Head Coach. “We should have closed the match in the first half, but we missed a few good opportunities. In the halftime we talked about not letting ourselves down, but we still ended up a little bit more on the deffensive side in the second half“.
With the win, Mallorca now has seven points and stands in the 17th position of the classification. The team will next face Barcelona B at the Mini Estadi, looking for a second win in a row.
