New Lancia Voyager S

LANCIA has introduced the new Voyager S which both completes the model series and extends the ‘S’ range.

Available to buy from January 2014, the new S version is a blend of urban and chic, according to the Italian manufacturer.

Depending on the market, the range is made up of three trim levels (Silver, Gold and Platinum) and two engines: the new 178 HP 2.8l turbodiesel and the 283 HP 3.6L V6 Pentastar petrol engine.

The interior of the Voyager is both sturdy and flexible thanks to the Stow’n Go system which comes as standard on the entire range.

The system allows the second and third rows of seats to be stowed away inside the floor, providing a capacity of 4100 litres.

Completing the standard equipment of the Lancia Voyager, depending on the trim level and the market, are more than 40 active and passive safety features.

A recent addition to the standard equipment throughout the entire range is the electronic Trailer Sway Damping system, designed to detect sudden movements of the trailer and help to correct the situation.

The Voyager is also rich in content to ensure on-board comfort, including the automatic three-zone climate control system, electric seat and pedal adjustment, and the U-ConnectTM hands-free system with iPod/MP3

Both engines are combined as standard with a six-speed automatic transmission with torque converter that offers closer spacing between the gears, limiting engine speed changes between the different transmission ratios and guaranteeing smoother engagements.

Specifically, the new 2.8 turbodiesel common-rail 178 HP engine (131 kW) is equipped with a high pressure 1800 bar common rail injection system with piezoelectric injectors and a variable geometry turbocharge
