Barcelona lose to Ajax in Champions League game

Neymar tackled

Ajax became the first side in the Champions League games to beat Barcelona in last nights match, with a score of 2-1, meaning they could still progress to the next round.

Goal scorers Thulani Serero and Danny Hoesen put Ajax in the lead by half time, but then lost Joel Veltman who was sent off for a tackle on Neymar, allowing Xavi Hernandez to score a penalty goal. Barcelona played a tight game, with constant pressure on Ajas, but were unable to score an equaliser.

Barcelona are currently at the top of the group, with Ajax third in their group.  Ajax need to beat Milan in the next match to advance to the next stage of the competition.
