Watching TV could make children overweight
CHILDREN who watch lots of television are more likely to be overweight later in life.
Researchers in the USA say that for every extra hour a child spends watching TV each day, their weight in adulthood increases by about half a pound. They believe it could be because when children are watching television their hands are unoccupied and are more likely to eat unnecessarily.
The recommended amount of watching television is two-hours maximum per day for children.
