LIT UP: Christmas spirit in Almeria
CHRISTMAS has officially arrived in Almeria City. The streets and squares are lit up with beautiful arches, and ornate lamp posts are decorated with spruce pine. In total there are 802,390 lights, of which 779,674 are LED.
The lighting by traders in the city centre is funded 45 per cent by the City Hall which allows the installation of a further 105 light displays. In total, the city has installed 61 arches, 74 displays on lamp posts, nine trees and an artificial pine 20 metres tall located in the Plaza de las Velas at the beginning of the Rambla.
