La Bajadilla Port project in Marbella.
QATARI Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasir Al Thani has once again failed to respond to the demands of the Junta de Andalucia in the construction of La Bajadilla Port in Marbella.
In August 2013, he paid the €1.8 million demanded from the Junta de Andalucia for the management fees for the port for 2012 and 2013, which should have been paid earlier.
However, this time, his team has reportedly failed to come up with the construction project requested by the Public Ports Agency, which is part of the Junta de Andalucia Council for Public Works. This should have set out the main completion dates for the most important stages of the project.
His company, Bin Nasir Abdullah & Sons, and Marbella City Hall have been informed that administrative proceedings will be opened against them which could result in a fine. The fine can be appealed against, but the construction process is already 17 months behind estimate.
