TORRECARDENAS HOSPITAL: caring for female biker who fell down ravine
A FEMALE motorcyclist was injured after going off the road and falling into a ravine about ten metres deep.
The 36 year old of German origin lost control of her large bike when travelling on the Al-3107 road. The road links the towns of Nijar and Lucainena de las Torres.
The injured motorcyclist had to be transferred to the Torrecardenas hospital, accompanied by other motorists belonging to a motorcycling club in the area. It was members of the club who alerted the 112 Emergency Services, who in turn gave notice to the Fire Department of the Levante area, Guardia Civil and 061 medics.
Eventually the firefighters rescued the woman with the help of a flat bed. According to sources the woman was conscious when she was taken to the hospital suffering from a broken left arm and several bruises caused in the fall.
