Putting Great British Grub on the Map

The interactive map shows expats exactly where they can find British foods

Are you desperately seeking for Yorkshire tea, HP sauce or a jar of Marmite abroad? Look no further, this interactive map will tell you where the closest British shop, butcher or bakery is to you!

After noticing many expats asking where they could get British products, Which Offshore (an expat financial advising group) came up with an ingenious way of helping British people living abroad find the homely foods that prevent them from feeling too homesick.

The Ultimate Interactive Map of Great British Grub uses Google’s map interface, it is designed to gather data of all the shops that stock everything from Hula Hoops to clotted cream.

The selling points are divided into three categories. The Marmite jar icon is for stores that sell British food products, the pig is for Butchers and the pie is for bakeries. Just zoom in the area closest to you and click on the icons to check addresses, websites and phone numbers of each store.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the data gathering. If you know of a store selling great British grub that hasn’t been listed yet, you can suggest a purveyor by sending an email to whichoff@gmail.com
