Yamas: Greek Fusion Food restaurant
Looking for a cosy, secret hangout in a fabulous location right in the heart of Marbella?
Look no further than Yamas Greek Fusion, on the new pedestrian walkway between old town Marbella and the port. As a Greek fusion restaurant and bar, Yamas (‘to your health!’) specialises in traditional Greek dishes together with Asian fusion tapas from places like Thailand and Korea. Greek sides, Greek salads, and moussaka are popular choices as well, of course. Meet Kulis and Hayley, the couple behind the Yamas scene. Kulis is a Greek chef, from a family of Greek chefs.
Prior to running the Poco Loco Beach Club and Restaurant for the last four years, Kulisalso used to have his own place in Stuttgart, Germany for 10 years. He has been working in restaurants all his life and really knows the business. When asked the best thing about Yamas, Kulis said: “It makes people happy. A lot of Greece is about the family and enjoying food together. That’s my personal philosophy, and it’s also my job.”
Kulis also mentioned looking forward to greeting his former clients now that they’re open, saying that many of his older clients from the last four years will be following him down to Yamas. He recognises them all and can’t wait to see them at the new venue!
About what Yamas clients can expect, Hayley commented, “You don’t have to have a full dining experience. Yamas is a place for everybody, if you just want a coffee or a drink at the bar, or if you want a full-blown party for your friends.” Good friends and good Greek fusion is what Yamas is all about.
Book now for Yamas’ special dinner on Saint Patrick’s Day (serving Guinness!). With a set menu at €22, you’ll also enjoy live music with Quique, the famous electronic violinist. Greek Easter is also already booking, so follow the Yamas website for all upcoming events.
