Over the last three months Specsavers Opticas have been working with the Lions Club Charity to collect unwanted glasses to distribute around the world, to help improve the sight of the world’s poorest people.
Specsavers ran a competition in conjunction with the Euro Weekly News to exceed the target of collecting 3,000 pairs of glasses, and the result was a fantastic total of nearly 4,500! The competition helped drive more people to donate their unwanted glasses and gave them the chance to be entered into a prize draw to win a new pair of designer frames.
Congratulations to the winner Tricia Comer, who chose a Karen Millen designer frame from Specsavers Opticas Javea.
All eight Specsavers Opticas on the Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol and Mallorca are continuing to support the Lions Club by being a drop off point for old glasses, so residents are being encouraged to make sure their old glasses don’t go to waste. To find your nearest store visit www.specsavers.es
