Facelift for Costa del Sol’s La Cala

Work has been carried out to improve the appearance of the roundabout at the entrance to La Cala de Mijas from the A-7 motorway.

The works are due to be completed within another two months and include flowerbeds surrounded by stones which have new water-saving irrigation systems.

Once the work is finished, plans are to plant more flowers and bushes in Avenida Mare Nostrum.

The council has said that La Cala de Mijas is an area which is visited by thousands of tourists every year and therefore it is important to give it the best appearance possible and make it more attractive to visitors.
