Football fan fined €60,000

An Atletico Madrid football fan has been fined €60,000 for violating an order which banned him from entering football stadiums.

 

The man, a member of a “radical and violent” group of supporters, was spotted in the stadium during a Getafe-Atletico Madrid game despite having been banned from any sports facilities between June 2012 and June 2014.

He has now been banned for a further five years.

The State Commission Against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports has also fined an FC Barcelona fan €6,000.

The also banned him from entering sports stadiums for two years for attacking a police officers during a match against Atletico de Madrid.

These are just two of many recently imposed fines for violence at football matches.
