The Benidorm woman was planning to take revenge on the policemen after she lost her children.
A Benidorm woman was remanded on charges of hiring a hitman to kill two policemen.
She initially offered to pay him €15,000 for each man that he killed, but instead of carrying out the contract, he went instead to the police.
He showed them WhatsApp messages he received from the woman discussing the arms he should buy and the price she would pay.
According to sources quoted by the provincial Spanish press, the women had very little to go on and had no idea of the officers’ names or where they lived.
The two Policia Nacional officers took part in an operation that carried out a court order that removed the children from the woman’s custody.
They were only there as backup but the woman allegedly remembered their faces and wanted to kill them in revenge.
Although she later admitted sending the messages, the woman, who works as a prostitute according to sources, claimed she was joking.
The messages were nevertheless taken seriously by Benidorm’s Policia Nacional and she was arrested and later remanded on charges of inciting murder.
