A man has been sentenced to a year in prison for attacking another in Sedella following an argument during a padel tennis match.
The events took place in August 2011 when the two men were playing, and the accused smacked the victim in the mouth with his racket, as well as kicking and punching him, causing him several injuries, including the loss of two teeth.
He will also have to pay the victim €3,800 in compensation.
The accused agreed to the sentence and if he pays the compensation will not have to see the inside of a prison cell.
