Avenida Miramar in Fuengirola has been reopened to traffic following work.
Avenida Miramar in Fuengirola has been reopened to traffic following reformation work which has finished before expected.
The work has been carried out on Avenida Miramar and surrounding streets, amounting to 17,000m2 in total, at a cost of €2.25 million.
Work started on March 17 and included the complete renovation of Avenida de Miramar between Camino de la Condesa and Avenida Santa Amalia, which cost some €1.65 million.
The other areas which have undergone changes are Calle Jabega, Calle Palangre and part of Calle Doctor Garcia Verdugo.
New energy-saving lights have been installed, as well as an ‘ecological island’ for recyclcing waste and a number of wastepaper bins and benches.
Pavements have been made wider and more wheelchair-friendly, and a number of trees have been planted, now bringing the total to 119, and garden areas have been created.
