Keeping fit on Moraira’s beaches

THE ‘Healthy Teulada-Moraira’ initiative was so successful last summer that there will be a repeat edition this year.  “We have first class beaches as our blue flags demonstrate and these activities complement our offer,” said Teulada mayor Antoni Joan Bertomeu.

From now until September 15 there will be taichi-pilates sessions from 8am to 9am on the l’Ampolla beach every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

This will be followed by aerobics from 9am to 10am. There will be swimming classes between 8am and 10am on Wednesdays and, new this year, zumba on Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 10am.  Beginning on July 2 and until September 15 there will be keep fit session on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays from 10am until 10.45am.

Taichi-pilates sessions will be held at the Portet beach on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am until 9am. On Tuesdays these will be followed by aerobics from 9am until 10am and on Thursdays by swimming.

Bertomeu urged residents and visitors to take advantage of the summer and the good weather to practise sports and join in the sessions.  “We want everyone to enjoy these free activities,” he said.
