dentist fear leads to fake kidnap

He may be scared of the dentist, but he is not afraid of the police.

A 12 year old French boy was discovered by police hiding in the French Alpine village of St Gervais.

When asked why he was hiding, the imaginative boy told the police he was kidnapped while on his way to the dentist.

The French police took the report very seriously, and detectives spent over a month looking for a kidnapper described as European looking, muscular and with a vertical scar on his right cheek.

He further described the car his alleged captor was driving and the clothes he was wearing.

It was only after they reviewed the CCTV footage that the officers called him in for questioning.

The young boy reportedly confessed that he made up the tall tale so he wouldn’t have to go to the dentist.
