Love them or hate them they aren’t going anywhere, the cast of TOWIE have proved to be the best bit of Marbella marketing ever, as figures show a 72 per cent increase in interest since they started holidaying there.

The cast of TOWIE are becoming a familiar sight in “Marbs”, and it would appear if it’s good enough for them, then it is certainly good enough for their fans. The first episode of two, ‘The Only Way Is Marbella’ specials was aired on Sunday June 22 and reported a surge in interest after the programme first aired.

Viewers were entertained with the usual antics expected from the cast, visiting the restaurants, bars and beaches all the while swapping, gossip and partners against the back drop of Marbella sunshine. brand spokesman Alison Couper said: ‘It’s impressive to see how influential our favourite TV shows can be on our travel habits. Our site offers great deals for Marbella for those who are interested in whisking themselves away to have a “reem” holiday this summer!’

Adding to the Marbella excitement, Lauren Pope has listed her favourite Marbella hotspots to MailOnline Travel, while promoting TOWIE’s first music CD, The Only Way is Marbs: Marbella Anthems. The launch party is on Friday, not in Marbella as you might expect, but at The Brickyard, in Essex.

Aqua Mist. It has such cool little back room hidden away with a Jacuzzi in it, not that I’ve ever been in it, I dread to think what’s gone on in there! But it’s great just to go and have a look. They also get some good name DJ’s playing there which is right up my street.

La Sala. It’s a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere; they have live singers in there. It’s a bar as well, so you can go and eat yummy food then relax on the terrace with a few drinks.

Tibu. I’ve DJ’d here a few times and it’s a great venue playing a mixture of house, R ‘n’ B and hip hop. It’s pretty big and open late so if it’s a big night you’re after I’d suggest going there.

Nikki Beach. This is such a lovely, chic place to hang out; it’s a little bit away from the port which isn’t a bad thing. It has a chilled out day vibe and then when it gets dark the party starts with dancers and entertainers and it’s really cool to dance the night away under the stars.

Pangea. It’s an outside rooftop bar/club and it’s a great place to start your night. The music is a mix of everything and isn’t too loud so it’s a great, sociable place to catch up with your friends before going to somewhere like Tibu.
