NATIONAL POLICE in Malaga have detained a man of 23 under suspicion of several muggings and house breakings.

Investigating officers have been able to retrieve a lot of the stolen items and return them to their rightful owners.

The young man would steal items to later sell them in second hand shops.

Police attribute at least three robberies to the suspect: eight of December 2013 he took a tent and a pen drive from a car parked on a central street; first of March 2014 he stole a bicycle from a house in Malaga and one day later he returned and took a wheel barrow and a drill and the 23 of May 2014 he stole a satellite navigational aide, thought to be worth more than €500, from a car while its owner was unloading the car to take things up to his house.

According to police sources the young man would sell all the items in local second hand shops as soon as he stole them.
