LOS CONTEROS Restaurant and Bar, close to Villaricos has been operated by Chris and Lenka since December last year.
In that time the venue has been transformed, with the latest addition being full air conditioning for the 40 seater restaurant area. The outside terrace offers both shaded and sunny areas, perfect for dining, a snack or just a cooling drink or two.
Should a snack be your wish, then try their quarter roast chicken and chips at €7.50 with, at lunchtime, a glass of beer or wine included!
They serve many types of fresh meat and fish products from finest Argentine fillet steak, whole sea bass, to chicken and pork dishes, but the specialty of the house is their version of the slow roasted shoulder of lamb, using fresh local lamb and a fine blend of herbs and honey, a meal for two to share.
Like your wine? Not only do they have a fine House Wine selection, but also an extensive wine list featuring labels like Luis Canas. We suggest the White Rioja at €12.90 is really worth a try.
Summer on the terrace means live music every Friday from 8pm until the end of September with one or two very special events planned for Saturdays, ask Lenka for full details.
For those of you with little ones, Children love the special menu and prices start at just €3.50 so it’s easy on the pocket as well.
Service is a key word at Los Conteros, Lenka heads the front of house team well assisted by Sebita and Elle while in the kitchen, Chris produces well prepared and presented dishes with the help of Caroline and Ina, with the kitchen open daily from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and then from 7pm. Special menus are produced for both Friday and Sunday, the Friday Fish Menu offers a great selection including beer battered cod and chips from €8.50 whilst Sunday’s offering is a three course multi choice menu priced at €12.50 that includes roast beef and lamb. From Monday to Saturday lunchtime there is a Menu del Dia.
Los Conteros is not just a restaurant, the bar is well stocked with beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks as well as excellent coffee, so why not pop in for a drink and take a look at what’s on offer? A warm welcome always awaits.
