Torrevieja mayor, Eduardo Dolon, approving La Bocana
TORREVIEJA Mayor, Eduardo Dolon, visited the new ski cable facility, La Bocana, at Torrevieja this week. He was accompanied by Eduardo Gil Rebolllo and Luis Maria Pizana from the cabinet.
The brand new installation, open 365 days a year is located on the east dock, near the Marina Salinas. The private project was funded by a group of businessmen in the nautical industry in Torrevieja.
The Bocana is a sports centre dedicated to water skiing where users can practice different water sports, but primarily water skiing. Facilities include all services necessary to enjoy water skiing: equipment hire, a training school for learners and advanced students, and there is a snack bar for hungry participants. The snack bar has a large terrace where you can watch other water skiers train and perform, and offers great views of Torrevieja.
Open every day, the centre opens at 10am and closes at 9pm during the high season. Out of season, users can reserve their spot to avoid disappointment.
Dolon said: “This is a very new, high standard facility, of which there are few in our country. This only adds to the different nautical sports on offer in Torrevieja.”
