Robin Williams dies aged 63

Actor and comedian Robin Williams has died in a an apparent suicide.
 
Police responding to an emergency 911 call attended the stars home in Tiburon, California after his body was discovered late on Sunday. Emergency services were called to the stars home where he was later pronounced dead at 12.02am.
 
The Hollywood star of many blockbusters such as Mrs Doubtfire and Good Morning Vietnam was a fan favourite and will be sorely missed. 
 
Marin County Emergency Services attended the scene, however they were unable to render aid to the lifeless body of a male who was later confirmed as Robin Williams.
 
Police and the Coroner’s office continue their investigations to establish the cause of death. Initial indications suggest Mr Williams may have died of asphyxiation.  Forensic investigative findings are expected on or around August 12.  
 
A representative, Mara Buxbaum said: “Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late.”
 
In addition the late star’s wife added “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings”. 
 
The actor was known for his hilarious comedy and lovable characters who entertained young and old alike. The multi Golden Globe winner also played serious roles to include ‘Dead Poet’s Society.’
 
Early indications suggest that Mr Williams was last seen alive at roughly 10pm on August 10 with his wife at home.
 
There are no signs to suggest foul play.
