JAVEA Town Hall has announced the go-ahead for two projects for improvements to the municipal offices in Portal del Clot, renovation of a park, and a roundabout to replace a current junction in the town.
The first part of the project will improve the municipal offices for hosting the local police and offices for economic development, planning and works. It has also included a provision for functional offices whichmay go on to accommodate other council departments if needed. The work, at a cost of more than €2 million and a completion period of five months, will be financed with a loan specifically applied for this project.
The second part of the improvement plan is for Pinosol park, one of the most popular green areas in the municipality. The improvements include the renewal of its enclosure and environment as well as the renovation and expansion of the children’s area. The project is expected to cost €120,000, funded entirely by the provincial government.
Along with the park improvements, the council has requested the construction of a roundabout at the junction of Avenidas Pla and Arenal with a budget of €240,000. The roundabout is intended to improve road safety.
