According to police sources, the driver sustained a back injury in the crash, which was attended by the South West Ambulance Service at around 10am. A spokesperson said: “There were six casualties and all of them sustained minor injuries. They are being assessed at the scene to see if they need to be taken to hospital.”
It is reported that the passengers were visiting Weston-super-Mare on a day out.
The section of road where the crash took place was closed following the arrival of the emergency services.
