James Foley – help us to remember him

THE barbaric murder of journalist James Foley has touched the hearts of the world.

James Foley was doing nothing other than his job, reporting the frontline news to the world when he was kidnapped, held hostage to ransom and ultimately brutally murdered.

No one should die simply for doing his job.

On Thursday, August 28, 2014, Euro Weekly News will donate a page to remember James Foley in each of our six editions and we ask the world’s press to come together and follow suit by donating the rate of one single page within their respective newspapers. It is the least the journalistic family can do.

Monies raised could be used to form a ‘James Foley Scholarship’ for new up and coming journalists. In doing so James will never be forgotten, leaving a legacy in helping world journalism.

Let us not allow James to be forgotten, let us all give remembrance and collectively raise his profile and do so with the full support of the world’s press.

Euro Weekly News will be displaying a black ribbon on the James Foley white sheet remembrance page as well as our front page on August 28 and ask that we all stand together and mark this day.

The only thing preventing World Wide Peace is NOT terrorism; it’s apathy.

EWN DOES NOT GET APATHY.
