Junta agrees to license beach bars

SIXTY-THREE beach bars in the Axarquia are to be granted licences by the Junta de Andalucia regional government.

Secretary for Institutional Policy of PSOE in Andalucia, Francisco Conejo, said the Junta would soon issue licences to as many as 63 beach bars in the region as long as local councils comply with the mandatory legal formalities. The decision is to benefit nine beach bars in Rincon de la Victoria, 14 in Torrox and 40 in Velez-Malaga.

President of the Junta de Andalucia Susana Diaz said in June that the regional government would do its utmost to speed up the licence granting process.
